Let me tell you about Carlisle Law Firm. I first went to their office in ogdensburg, ny in May of 2015 and consulted with then attorney Nicole Duvie regarding my case. She stated at the time they would take the case. however, it's going to take a couple years to resolve so don't call us. "We will call you". Famous words for this law firm. Fast forward 2 years. I received a hearing date in the mail. So I called the law firm and asked about my case. Thier reply, what case. I told them Nicole Duvie was my attorney. They said, Nicole Duvie left over a year ago and didn't know anything about the case. I demanded to speak with Mr Carlisle himself as I contacted the hearing officer regarding my case. The hearing officer said that the law firm had put nothing in my file for the past 2 years. She stated to me that I should write the judge. So I wrote the judge and explained what happened. Her response was that "Your case must of fell thru the cracks". I then went to the appointment I made to see Mr. Carlisle, who sent me to attorney Grandy. He thanked me for not throwing him under the bus to the judge regarding the failure to file the appropriate documents. My question was how did you get a copy of the letter I sent to the judge regarding the law firms lack of knowledge about my case.? Thier incompetence led to 2 extra years of preparing and filing of papers. March of 2018...…Oh it isn't over. I asked about the comp claims that were also to be filed. Mr Carlisle's response was, that Nicole Duvie didn't file them either. I was turned over to another attorney in Thier office Mr Getz. Who would handle my comp claims. His rude remarks regarding that I would soon own a new boat like everyone else who comes in here for comp claims. This attorney was a total idiot. I finally ended up with attorney Otis Simon. He was a down right lier. He told lie after lie. He failed to file two claims, negotiated half my claims away and it all took 7 years. I finally fired them and hired another attorney who explained to me everything they did wrong, ( update: This Law firm, from Utica, N.Y. in March of 2026 finished my case and I received an additional 25k that Carlisle tried to negotiate away for nothing). Even though Carlisle sued me for $6000 after they filed falsified paperwork. They wrote in 6k with my signature on it. The lien was for $6000. The amount was added after they agreed to withdraw from the case if I signed allowing them to withdraw. Which had no amount on it when I signed it. Very sneaky law firm. the comp judge awarded them $1000 they shouldn't of gotten. Why? Cause they cut a deal with This law firm back in January in 2019, to split the case awards without my knowledge. It didn't hurt them, they got Thier full pay, I got half. It was obvious the judge. was right in thier back pocket. after seven years of screw ups this law firm received $22k dollars. For the crappy work they did. I ended up getting 1/2 of what was owed to me. This law firm is a joke. Say clear... you will make the worst decision in your life if you choose this Law Firm to represent you. why do you think they run multiple ads on tv? cause they suck.
