Shyster Alert. Weldon took a $10,000 retainer from me after he quoted me for a $7,500 retainer the day before. The case went on for over a year for who knows what reason, he ignored all inquiries and updates about cost and then claimed I owed another $8,000 for a total of nearly $20k in legal fees. You’re better off going to Syracuse for representation if your situation is anything serious because the local attorneys up there don’t specialize in anything particular which means they don’t have extensive knowledge in one area or the other - they collect as much money as possible and then sort of try to do as little as possible. Do yourself a favor and just go to Syracuse for help from the beginning or else you’ll end up like me - some attorney claiming that he did $20k worth of work and then you’ll have to go to Syracuse and get other representation and almost start from the beginning again. Also, rude staff - if I see another email with simply “see attached” with sometimes nothing in the subject line again I think I’ll throw up. I don’t recommend this attorney and I don’t recommend living in a place like Jefferson County- nothing but scam-like and terrible experiences there from multiple fronts. Attorneys, real estate agents, squatters…all swindled me out of about $75,000.

Serious concerns about settlement handling and billing. Over $20k in disputed deductions, years-long delay in releasing settlement funds, poor record-keeping, and unexplained fees. I reported this matter to authorities. Proceed with extreme caution.

I called 15 different law firms, no help. I even called outside Watertown. I did get a call back and a meeting. Professional, knowledgeable and focused. My issue was resolved quickly and in my favor. Nobody, Nobody would help me! Not a great feeling, but this Law firm excepted the challenge. I wish I could give a sixth star. Thanks!
