Kanthaka Group

My experience with Kanthaka Group was extremely disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. Communication was inconsistent, important information was repeatedly “lost,” and despite being told extensive hours had been spent on my case, there was little to nothing to show for it.
Billing was also a major issue. We were repeatedly sent incorrect invoices, even after being told directly that the billing was wrong and despite our contract clearly stating that payment would only come after a settlement was reached.
What concerned me most was the conduct within the office itself. I personally witnessed staff openly gossiping about clients and discussing private case information in a way that felt incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. False accusations were also made against my husband, including claims that he threatened staff and had been removed from the property — neither of which ever happened, as he has never even been there.
Thankfully, I kept records of everything, including screenshots, conversations, invoices, and documentation. Due to the lack of professionalism, communication issues, their mean girl behavior, and overall experience, I chose to terminate their services and file formal complaints.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering this firm to do thorough research, document every interaction, and proceed with caution.

Mr. John Scorsine accepted my case, subsequently neglected it, and retained my $10,000 retainer. I would advise against utilizing this company's services. I have filed a complaint with the Bar Association, which he has refused to address.
