My review is regarding a focus group that I participated in.
I answered an ad on craigslist for a focus group because I am not from this area, although I have a bachelors degree in paralegal studies and years of experience, I was hoping to gain some insight into Colorado law or at least just tip my toes back in the water today.

Although he vacillated between kind and friendly, well mannered and charming, there were a couple of occasions where he could do better.

I have worked for several attorneys, one of which snapped at me once or twice.
But I found Mr. Martin’s corrective measures during the focus group to be over-the-top, a bit bullying, and unnecessary.
He could have opened up the group session with, “here are my pet peeves and here are the rules.
Adults understand rules.

Today’s session included verbal berating and humiliating a few participants.

I understand that we were being paid to be there and that it is business, and in business sometimes shit happens and people say things out of frustration, but that was not the case.
If it was, then he was out of character, and maybe he was very tired, but raising your voice to prove you’re the alpha in the room, and humiliating people is not the way to go about correcting them.

If you are a female who has suffered verbal abuse in the past, please do not volunteer for any of these focus groups.
You may/will be triggered.

Pit did an amazing job helping a good friend of mine. His kindness and integrity is beyond reproach. Pit is definitely the kind of "pit"bull you want on your side.
