Jacob Silver, Attorney At Law

Jacob Silver is the worst attorney to deal with family court matters in my opinion. At the first few court dates he wanted me to take a plea for a case that had no merits. When he saw I wasn’t going to take any offers he got uninterested in my case and did the bare minimum (he showed up). I ask him to file a petition (he never did and never told me that he couldn’t or anything). The plaintiff didn’t show up at the last two court dates and wasn’t answering the phone for their attorney. Instead of asking for an outright dismissal he tells the court to dismiss it “without prejudice” -the plaintiff can pick the case back up anytime they feel like it- which was foolish in my opinion. I ask him why he would do that and he tells me it’s the law. If it is why would you have to give them that option? He seems to think he’s the reason the case was dismissed. Brushing my concerns to the side and saying “the case is dismissed”. I knew this case would never go anywhere from the start that’s why I kept the court appointed attorney. When I talked to him he said in a disparaging tone that I “could get another free lawyer”. Shows what his mindset was the whole case. If I could give this lazy lawyer one (1) star I would.
