My mother had the Clardy firm set up her living trust and her will. They did a good job with that. Prior to her death, the illness of her trustee to led Mr. Clardy being appointed. After he congratulated us on inheriting,Mr Clardy rushed through the initial meeting after her death and little was explained clearly. I brought a number of questions which made up for that. He was fine till it was necessary to file for probate. After that point it went downhill. Little to no contact- some returned calls from his staff but never him. I could not get a response from his office at all regarding implications of a legal form they sent me. After 2+ weeks of waiting I reached out to FL Bar and spoke with another attyn who answered them all.
My mother's death was already stressful enough, but this experience with him multiplied it. I should never had to be this diligent, persistent, and ignored by a "professional" My mother's Meadowcrest neighbor had heard a out him before and warned her not to hire him. I wish she had listened.
