I’ve known David Volk personally for years, and when I found myself in a difficult negotiation with a large land-grant university, David, and his firm, coached me through it on the fly with clear, practical, no-nonsense advice. I would never in a million years recommend this firm to anyone. I paid a $75 consultation fee when facing a wrongful eviction, a case in which my landlord resorted to a series of illegal self help eviction tactics. I strictly had 5 days to submit my answer to the court. I spoke once with Golub for only a few minutes and that was it. I received an email the day before my deadline saying it’ll cost me $1500 for representation. I haven’t talked to or discussed and details or strategy regarding my case at this point and didn’t plan on paying that much money blindly. I responded to the email asking for specifications on what all the $1500 would cover and never received a reply. Just a complete waste of $75. I am so glad that another firm was able to work with me last minute because if Golub was my only option, I would’ve been in trouble. Very distasteful way to conduct business.

I am completely happy with my experience with Volk Law. To be more precise, my experience surpasses my wildest expectations. Attorney Mark Siemer is a straight shooter who thoroughly knows his business. He not only clearly explained the law to me, he is also an outstanding listener. I was in complete control of the actions that were pursued but Mark did an outstanding job in explaining things and making this process easy. Mark was ably assisted by Heather Baker. Heather is an outstanding professional in her own right. I was always kept informed on progress, even when I didn’t ask. And while I suspect that my concerns were not the most monetarily lucrative project, my concerns were treated like they were. I also want to acknowledge David Volk. I spoke with him early in the process and based on what I shared, he assigned my matter to Mark and Heather. I feel I could not have succeeded without all of them but know that regardless of the outcome, which was completely resolved in my favor, I am most grateful for my experience being supported by pros who conduct their business with integrity and honesty and give their all regardless of the magnitude of the case.
