First off it is off putting to offer a payment plan which I am familiar with the company Affirm and when I inquired about the link to apply for financing through affirm, the response from the company was “what’s your credit score?” Which is alarming because that’s not information you provide to the merchant, that is what affirm used for, to access your SENSITIVE financial information and history but you’re a credible law firm?! Who ask that through thumbtack which is not a secured platform where you provide personal financial information! (Photo Attached) Anyway after that I Called this office to see if the company would be a good fit for representation and the next red flag was 5 minutes before my scheduled phone call at 4:15pm, I received a text saying the company was “running behind” and I needed to reach out at 4:25pm. It wasn’t a question of if I would be available at 4:25 but an auto rescheduling and it’s weird that I have to reach out to the company and the company is not reaching out to me especially since I was the potential client and I had scheduled for a call FROM the company. I called the company and a man who was the “office manager” took the call and he was very unprofessional, matter of fact-ish, repeatedly cut me off, no empathy, and you can tell he was just ready to get to the portion to put in my payment information. He asked me to submit my statement via email, grazed over the process of the firm, and asked was I ready to submit payment. I asked him did he need anything from me because I have a huge amount of my own documentation and he said no which is weird because you would rather wait on discovery than to get ahead and possibly receive information that could aid the case and leave out what is not beneficial but he then asked was I ready to pay and I said I would like to speak with my mom first before proceeding or making that determination and he asked did I want to add her on the call and I said sure. He proceeds to speak to my mother and advise the court doesn’t care about how he treated her during this relationship, etc which was confusing cause I never spoke on the nature of my relationship with the individual which was out of line completely. He advised he was the office manager and if he wanted the entire nature of the case, why not ask that when I initially spoke with you without my mom on the line and when I asked “did you need anything from me” and he then advised we don’t do the fluff and sugar coating but that is not equivalent to treating potential clients with empathy, respect, and compassion. He danced around his unprofessionalism and advised he didn’t think the firm could assist with my case but I had already advised him if the attorneys in the firm are abrasive, dismissive, and condescending as you, I would never retain the company so that was the only thing we were on the same page about. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIRM. They have payment plans and push positive reviews because that’s how they attract possible clients especially ones that have an extremely complex case, mine is only a misdemeanor and this was the treatment so I can only imagine someone with a felony or multiple charges. This company is also not registered with the Better Business Bureau which speaks volumes about the firm and their operations. I always say that it is important to look at the company outside of the review on Google! Do your homework/research!!!!!!
