I paid my attorney up front for a custody hearing and child support hearing. Once the child support hearing came around (it was first) they didn’t show up after telling me they’d help with it which it okay whatever but then my conference came around for custody, we had talked about it after the child support hearing they didn’t show up to. They also didn’t show up saying they normally don’t attend these but my children’s mother had hers present at the time so once again okay whatever. Then mediation came around I called after the conference they had informed me that my retainer was empty ( one of the things they charged me for was my ex contacting them) and I needed to refill it if I wanted to be represented so I threw a little fit about it and they credited me 800 back outta 4,500 so I called again and heard nothing back I called a week before and heard nothing back but I left a voicemail with the proposal I wanted laid out still nothing back I called two days before mediation and still nothing. Mediation came around I called again and no answer but they did call and represented me over the phone but it wasn’t the attorney signed to my case and my proposal wasn’t even mentioned I agreed to mediation terms because I was over it and didn’t want anything to do with the system at this point regardless of what I wanted. They also drained my retainer after this which once again okay whatever. A few weeks went by and my ex tried holding me in contempt for breaking court orders they actually showed up to this got all the charges dropped and I appealed my child support all by myself and it was scheduled for the day after which they surprisingly showed up to without mentioning it to me things might’ve went well but I’m still waiting to hear back but after all that I get a bill for 3,300 then another 400 something on top on that when they sent letters saying they’re dropping me as a client so they showed up to two hearing at the end of my situation and I owe them an extra 3,700 on top of the 4,500 I paid them totaling to about 8,200 for them to do ultimately nothing for me but get a contempt of court order dropped which in my opinion anyone could’ve done due to lack of evidence

Unfortunately, my experience with this law firm was disappointing, especially after they were paid. I did not feel that my serious concerns were adequately heard or advocated for, and I often felt unsupported throughout my case. Communication was inconsistent, and I was left feeling like important issues affecting my children and my case were not given the attention they deserved. When you are navigating a high-conflict custody matter, you need an attorney who is responsive, prepared, and willing to advocate for your client’s concerns. Based on my personal experience, I did not feel that level of representation was ever provided, and I would not recommend this firm to others facing similar circumstances.

I got dropped by this firm after they didn’t really do anything for me or keep me in the loop.. but they sure did make sure to suck up all my retainer before hand. I don’t recommend this firm..

Do not get services from jubas. When I first started with this lawfirm it seemed very promising and the first custody conference I told them I wanted to essentially go for primary custody and that was shot down numerous times. I’ve payed them over 10k and I told them when I started I didn’t have a lot of money they blew through the 5k retainer and then asked for more money and tho I have nothing left to give as I literally was taken for house and home I had to move even though I know my laws and I knew it was not save to move he essentially stated if I got a house I would be okay and we would fight for full custody. 2 days until court he pulls out cause I can’t pay. And oh he didn’t tell me we had court in February. I will be reporting this to the bar.
