Ryan Green helped make my divorce the single worst experience of my life. I'm confident he cost me thousands of dollars in unnecessary legal fees and lost assets and/or spousal support. He was unresponsive and reactive during the whole process.
I couldn't tell you how many times he didn't return my emails or calls.

One instance in particular, my ex wife sent an offer letter with at least 12 terms that were numbered. I took the time to number and respond to each line item with how I wanted to counter offer. I then offered to Ryan to come by his office to go over the whole thing before he sent it back.
He never even replied to the email and then sent over an offer I didn't agree with or want him to send! He told me he was clear to my ex wifes lawyers that I didn't approve of it but he was starting the process. I said wouldn't a counter offer be the same thing? He said it wasn't official or something so whatever BUT he offered WAY more for the house than I wanted to which left no room for negotiation. I really still can't believe he did it months later.
It's amazing too I told Ryan how I felt at the time and he actually told me I could hire someone else if I wanted. No attempt to explain and certainly no apology.

There was another time Ryan Green sent all these discovery requests without telling me what he was doing. He asked her lawyers for all kinds of stuff like tax returns and W-2s and pay stubs. I had all that stuff already we were married for 16 years. It cost her thousands and so much time. So her lawyers sent discovery requests for the same stuff to me and I called my wife and told her this is crazy I don't have all that stuff and we negotiated and I didn't have to send it . I would have spent days tracking down all that crap and spent thousands on Ryan.

Then we were going to her office for an asset settlement conference. I had some mutual funds from before we got married and said I wanted to offer them to her to offset the house. He pretty much laughed at me and told me to put them away. I ended up talking to my ex wife myself and she took the mutual funds and 30K for the house. Ryan did none of the negotiations for me whatsoever I did it all on my own.

The last straw was just a couple of weeks ago. I talked to my ex wife and we made a deal to where I didn't have to pay her the 30K cash at closing for the house. The lender said the 30K requirement had to be removed from the divorce decree so I emailed Ryan and asked him to take care of it. I waited a few days and sent another email asking Ryan and his secretary if they could take care of it. He finally responded and said call the office and tell her what you need. I said it's pretty simple but okay. So I did it and didn't hear anything and emailed again and he replied saying I'd have to pay the money I owed him PLUS another 1000 bucks for another retainer!

I responded telling him about some of the ways I thought he could have done better and said will you please help me do this. His response was "we stand by our billing". I was floored and I still am.
So last week I asked my ex wife to ask her lawyers because I didn't want to pay Ryan another retainer plus I don't have any money until said refi is done. She talked to her lawyers about it and they talked her out of it! There's another 30k Ryan cost me on top of probably 12K in legal fees.
I emailed him this morning and said will you please help me out and he didn't even respond again. Go figure.

Who operates a business like that?! When we have customers that aren't happy where I work we at least try to understand why and hopefully fix it.

Ryan Green is a nice guy in person but he did a terrible job with my case and cost me tens of thousands of dollars right up to the end. I'd give anything to go back and hire someone else.

I did not leave a review for this business. I have never used this attorney. The review with my name on it was not given by me.
