Mr Henderson has been the worst professional I have ever delt with. I have been in court fighting for my son. The thing that matters the most to me in my life. He has gotten on the stand under oath and said mother had evidence of me doing drugs with my child and I have been sober for over 4 years. Because of this guy I have not seen my son in 2 years his mother has been in contempt of every court order and still has not given me my baby on my days. He ignored my phone calls and not only did he NOT SHOW UP to my home visit to check that my home is safe and suitable for the child. He ignored my calls and the 8th or 9th time I called he had blocked my number so it went to voicemail. This man is a liar. And what makes it worst and so unprofessional. He has been the only reason I still have not seen my baby for 2 YEARS on the 20th of this month. Is because I told him he was terrible at communicating and not wanting to do his job. After I said that to him, He made it personal and not about my child’s welfare.

My experience with this attorney was incredibly frustrating. For nearly three months, I dealt with repeated delays, poor communication, and what felt like excuse after excuse for why things weren’t getting done. I often felt ignored or completely ghosted when I needed updates. Instead of feeling represented, I felt like I was the attorney while he was simply along for the ride. Looking back, I should have terminated the relationship much sooner. What concerned me most was that, during our last meeting, he openly relied on ChatGPT to perform work that I expected my attorney to handle professionally. I have no issue with technology being used as a tool, but I hired an attorney for legal judgment, preparation, communication, and advocacy—not to watch AI do work while my progress continued to stall. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this attorney. If you’re considering hiring him, I HIGHLY encourage you to look elsewhere. Spend a little more if you have to, wait a little longer if necessary, but hire someone who communicates, follows through, and treats your case with the attention it deserves.

Attorney Maurice Henderson has been my attorney for over 10 years, and he is masterful at what he does to say the least. Mr. Henderson is very well respected amongst the Judiciary and often heralded for his excellent practice of law. I would highly recommend retaining Attorney Henderson if you have any legal needs.
