Long story short, Chris potentially saved the lives of my toddlers and I. I do not make that statement lightly. I hired an attorney through a law firm (not naming because they are the worst firm I have ever been a client of), and the disorganization and overturn of legal counsel was concerning. I went to my appointment to fire them. Then, I was introduced to Chris Osborn who was the fourth or fifth attorney in one month to take on my case – however, he was the first person/attorney who took me seriously and truly listened to the legitimate fears and safety concerns I had for my children while in the care of their dad and his 'girlfriend' (for lack of a better term). His concern and worry for us wouldn't let him give up on me; FINALLY! He listened .. and he actually heard me!! He made several calls that day to help; I have never encountered someone so sincere; he went as far as calling a family member of his to help guide me in the right direction to ensure my family's safety. He listened to all I had been through for 2 years with my children’s dad, instability, safety concerns, change of counsel, etc. & made me comfortable as to not feel rushed (as I had in previous meetings at the same firm with other attorneys assigned and reassigned to my case). I filed on 12.5.23 for reference, and obtained council on January 6, 2024.
Fast forward to several court dates later (that my estranged husband never showed for), my ex finally showed once. Mr. Osborne convinced him to do right by our children, and asked that he sign a temporary order of custody that day; 4/2/24. he also had him agree to no overnights so that my children were home, in bed safe every single night. THANK GOD, because on 4/7/24, my children's father became a national fugitive after being charged with several felonies as an already convicted habitual felon.
I've since gained permanent full physical and legal custody with no visitation or communication with my ex. All this is a small portion of what Mr. Osborn has done for me… without his forethought to have that order prepared before court and patience to convince my hostile ex to sign, I may not have my children home and safe with me today.
Chris, I appreciate you and your guidance, your help, and your genuine character so much - you are a rare, good man and I'm proud to have been a client. I really wish more attorneys were like you!I'll never be able to express my gratitude.
