My daughter had her for a lawyer if you want to call her that and it was one of the most unprofessional and rude times she ever had it concerned a lawsuit that was supposed to be filed and this woman had over a year to do the stuff that was supposed to be done but my daughter could never get in touch with her because she was either on vacation...sick or had a family emergency and when she was able to get thru to someone it was the assistant to her which about every 2 to 3 weeks was a different one because they would quit on her they never knew anything about what was going on with the case and relayed messages from her wanting my daughter to call the court house to get this document or go here and there doing what a competent lawyer should be doing she never did anything besides take vacations in a year this woman went on at least 6 or 7 vacations and in that time my daughter heard from her about 3 times 2 times wanting her to do leg work concerning the lawsuit and the last time telling her she let to much time pass and she forgot to file the lawsuit.....she forgot to file the frickin lawsuit sounds like a damn good lawyer huh this woman is the most incompetent so called lawyer that's has ever been if they had the D.E.I policy when she became a lawyer I'd say that's how she became one ...but I never trusted her from the beginning and I have a gut feeling that she just told my daughter that she forgot and she went on with it herself and kept any money that was awarded ....so we have a investigation of our own going on right now into her dealings and we have been in touch with the bar association and we are going to see about ms trotman ....so if you are looking for a attorney don't contact her because you will not get what you deserve from her

On February 17, 2026, I contacted this law firm to request a consultation regarding a reckless driving ticket. I was informed by the administrative staff that I would receive an email confirming a consultation scheduled for February 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. I never received that confirmation email, so I followed up on the morning of February 18. At that time, I was told that a consultation was not necessary because it was “just a traffic violation.” I explained that I still wanted to speak with an attorney before making any decisions, and I was then told that Yolanda Trottman would call me at 11:00 a.m.

When I did not receive a call, I followed up at 11:15 a.m. and was told she was on another call and would contact me at 11:30. After still not receiving a call, I reached out again at 11:45 a.m. and was told she would call by 12:30 p.m. I expressed my frustration, as I had arranged my work schedule in order to take this call and repeatedly had to follow up myself for updates. At 12:29 p.m., I was told she was about to call and was asked to text if I did not hear from her.

Unfortunately, I never received a call and texted again around 2:00 p.m. to inform them. After not hearing anything further, I contacted the office again on February 24, 2026, to request a consultation. Within 30 minutes, I finally received a call from Yolanda Trottman and when she answered, I heard “if she don’t answer this damn phone” (I’m assuming she was having another conversation with someone while calling me). However, during our conversation, I found her tone to be rushed and condescending. She stated she had to move on to another task and did not take accountability for the prior scheduling issues.

When I explained that I had been attempting to schedule a consultation since the previous week and had been told by administration that she was being updated, she responded that I should have emailed her directly. I was disappointed by this response, as I had been communicating through the administrative staff as instructed. When I expressed my concerns, she stated that while she would like to have me as a client, she could refer me to someone else if I preferred. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.

I was referred to this firm by a close friend and had high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience with both the administrative staff and the attorney did not reflect the level of professionalism or client care I anticipated.

It’s widely known that Ms. Trotman is well accomplished and has a great legal mind. To witness her in action though is a sight to behold. Not only is she a student of the law, she respects and honors the law by working within it to use all legal means to get justice for her clients.

She is a respected, talented and experienced attorney whose character and reputation are beyond repute.

BEWARE!! save your time and money. Yolanda Trotmans firm has been the most horrible experience I have dealt with an attorney. My case involved Child Support and this took over a year and nothing was ever resolved. The communication was the worst and the turnaround of paralegals was shockingly high, makes me wonder why they never last. Communication was so bad that I would be the one calling and emailing of any updates regarding my case. I finally gave up on Yolanda after no resolution of case, I voluntarily withdrew representation from her. This situation really upsets me because she charged me $5,000 for a simple child support case that was never resolved. She takes advantage of vulnerable people and makes promises she can’t keep. Yolanda Trotman will be reported to bar for neglect and poor communication if you ask me she shouldn’t be handling cases at all. I will be fighting for my hard earning money that was given away for a service that was never given.

I hired this woman back in 2017 for Outstanding speeding ticket, I paid her full in 5/6 weeks getting paid every 14 days being 19 years old,

Well I end up loosing my Dl, well down the road I was trying see about getting my dl back, so I called the court house in downtown Charlotte, the court house told me that she took my money and a lot of others peoples also, so they dropped my case and gave my stuff back because even the court house knows she robbed me. I know this was long time ago but it still bothers me every time I hear lawyer knowing I could have keep my Dl and the job I had, loosing my Dl changed my life badly
