We worked with immigration professor after finding them via MetLife and saw the great ratings they have. Our case is as straightforward as they come, so my expectation with them was that they would move quickly once we had submitted all documents and information to them. Not quite, Immigration Professor took a leisurely stroll of 4 months to prepare our case. I sent repeated emails asking them to ensure it is filed in a timely fashion but they were always managed away. The lawyer on our case said that our case was not critical as compared to other cases that she has prioritize over us. While I empathize and understand this, it is still a business and they have a responsibility to communicate their workloads so we could have made a more informed decision when we signed up with them. I finally had to pull the plug and tell them that unless the case was filed before the final payment was due, I wasn’t going to pay. At this point they finally relented and filed it. They filed the case and it was a success for us, so I commend them for that. They prepared us for interviews, and submitted the supplemental evidence in time for our interview. But I can’t help but emphaisize that they could have avoided months of unncessary friction and anxiety for us. In the future, I will not be going with them, there are other immigration law firms that do a good job and we were fortunate to find one to represent us at the day of the interview.
