I was just 22 weeks pregnant at a South Jersey hospital when I went into preterm labor. I had to stop a nurse giving me the wrong dose of medication, I had to beg the doctors to try and save my baby, was denied requests to be transferred to a higher level of care and worst of all following a botched delivery I then had emergency surgery after an attending allowed a resident to continue to try and deliver my son resulting in his catastrophic his death and what felt like a large part of mine.
