Keep in mind every case is different and mine will not be the same as yours and the outcome and your experience will be different based on your specific situation. But this is an account of mine.

TL/DR: Scott Taylor is an excellent attorney. He spends time getting to know you. Most importantly, he genuinely cared about me and my situation and he listened. It's hard to find someone you can trust, but in the end, I'm so glad I found Scott. He is trustworthy, won't scare you into submission, and is reasonably priced compared to the big box law firms in town.

I was from out of town and needed to find representation for a charge locally in slo for a matter that I really had no clue how to defend as I've never had any legal issues. I had been calling attorneys all week and EVERY SINGLE ONE had given me the full court press that I was in a bad spot and I needed to sign an engagement letter costing anywhere from $3k to $10k. One had even given me a 24 hour deadline to make a decision! I had called probably 10 attorneys. I was frustrated through Friday when I decided to call one more attorney before I went home, expecting more of the same. I called the Taylor defense firm and Scott had actually picked up the phone, which was refreshing. I probably spoke with him 20 minutes about my case. One thing that he actually said was that I shouldn't pay any attorney anything until after arraignment or after I had more information like a court date etc.

So I show up to my arraignment and my case had not even been reviewed yet. Scott happened to be in the courthouse at the time and we arranged to meet. Super kind and thoughtful, not only did he take the time on the phone in the beginning, he took time out of his busy day in between hearings to meet me and shake my hand, while offering some guidance. Keep in mind at this point I hadn't given him a penny yet (though he is running a business so I don't know that this should be the expectation).

Fast forward a couple months, my case was ultimately dismissed and with Scott's help I am through the other side, hopefully with a clean slate. Mr. Taylor is cut from a different cloth. There is a reason people distrust attorneys. Based on the 10 or so that I called first, I was frustrated, anxious, and frankly scared how much this would cost me. Scott was worth every penny and more. Most importantly, I felt that I could trust him with my case and that he is not the kind of attorney that would take advantage of someone in a vulnerable situation. You don't need to make any more calls to any other attorneys. Make Scott Taylor your first and last call if you need legal representation. You won't regret it.

He actually cares and will do everything legally he can to help you. If you ever find yourself in trouble give him a call.

Scott Taylor is extremely professional and was such a huge help during a really stressful time. It was a tough situation to navigate, but he approached everything with empathy and understanding. He’s very direct and transparent, which made the whole process so much easier to get through. I really appreciated his honesty and support every step of the way. You are in great hands with Scott.
