We are all "sinners" so tell the nice lady, who conveniently showed up at your law offices, after I left , she isn't a very good liar. We had a great conversation. Blair

***If you have an Autoimmune Disease that has been mismanaged, you might want to read this review.
Sweeney Law is sadly not who they say they are when they're a frequent guest on channel 21 Insight lunch show begging for clients. They have repeatedly said how they care about medical malpractice victims. If your loved one died and shouldn't have, I'm sure they'll fight for you. If you're still alive, not so much. They won't call you back if they decide not to take your case. You have to pester them for an answer and they will drag their feet and waste your time. Maybe that's why Parkview and Lutheran will overdose you on dangerous drugs, give you scans without checking if they're safe for you, not listen to your symptoms causing you to get sicker, pad your bill and are willing to drop a bill for a two day hospital stay from nearly $50,000 to under $14,000 when you point out how many deadly mistakes they made. When you learn more about your illness than medical professionals know and present them with medical journals full of hard facts, they will abandon you with a certified letter because they know lawyers want the easy cases. I would have liked to believe lawyers and doctors actually chose thier professions because they care about people and public health and safety. It's part of the greed and break down in our society. If those who do harm aren't held accountable, why would they care? They don't buy those big houses and fast cars with cases that really matter and they don't care to be a catalyst for change in our medical care system. Why would they? Our subpar healthcare feeds them clients. It's astonishing how many times our hospitals have been sued for causing death, yet nothing ever changes. Sweeney gets 2 stars from me because their receptionist was genuinely really nice. I don't write reviews about ordinary places. Only the extraordinary get exceptional reviews from me and the businesses that clearly don't care and claim to get a heartfelt warning to the public about them. Don't waste your time here unless you know your case is so sure, you could probably represent yourself.
And to Sweeney law firm personally,
I quit taking 300 mg DilTIAZem and 240 mg of Propranolol daily because those meds took me from an active lifestyle to a sick and miserable couch potato with serious Afib, Tachycardia (170-230bpm) and heart failure and I felt like I was dying. So I figured why bother? I might as well get my death over with and then my grieving husband would have a stong case for real change in healthcare and my misery would end. A year and a half being disabled by bad medicine was long enough. When I quit taking them, to my surprise I started to feel better. A few days after stopping, my resting heart rate lowered from high 80s to down to high 50s and low to mid 60s. My Afib, Tachycardia and heart failure took three days to stabilize, and has been normal for two months with no signs of change. I am on 5mg Methimazole for my rare genetic disease and am able to do most household chores, walk my dog. I am finally able to drive again. This is only one awful thing that was done to me because not one doctor at PV or Lutheran cared to read anything about my autoimmune disease. They clearly know little about my disease and use treatments that are 70 years old when there are better more effective treatments that get Graves/Hyperthyroidism into remission and gives health back instead of removing the thyroid which controls many bodily functions, including the heart. Do I have permanent damage? Probably, which hospital do you think will do the tests needed to determine that? Parkview or Lutheran? You say this isn't personal? It feels personal to me. Any day you can wake up and decide to be who you say you are. I am beyond disappointed. I had decided to not even try to sue them because everyone knows how lawyers can be. Then you went on Insight and convinced me that maybe you actually care. Giving the public false hope is cruel and a little sinister. May the world treat you, how you treat the world.
