First what they do well. Excellent wills and Estates division.

Now, what's problematic:

1. In a land sale and settlement transaction several years ago, my former attorney forgot to obtain a signed contract from the seller. Fortunately, she (the seller) was kind enough to complete the document subsequent to the sale, But I fired the firm Pursuant to what I consider to have been An egregious error. (FULL DISCLOSURE: His Law Firm was acquired by the the one referenced in numbers two and three below and currently bears his name. The surviving firm had absolutely nothing to do with the mistake cited here. Regardless, they acquired the name and they accept the reputation.)

2. As I said, the successor Corporation does excellent wills and Estates work. (I had Already switched to that Legal group.) On a real estate matter I assigned to them, One of the partners failed to Return To me in what I consider to have been a timely manner A completed offer for the purchase of A building in the Mount holly area. I was able to step in and take care of that myself. I do not believe he billed me for his time for that transaction. In any case, I will not use them again for Real Estate matters.

3. Today, March 28th, 2025, my wills and Estates attorney billed me 1.33 hours for what I'm certain was QUALITY work, but for effort that I believe could have easily been accomplished by a paralegal or secretary
In less billable time. I will assume for now that they were honest with the charge; however, that's not the point. The issue is possible higher than necessary billing against my Estate after I am no longer around to supervise it. I have no further evidence with which to disparage these services; however, appearances also matter.

I'm still a client.. for now.

I would not recommend Joy Chappell, she came to my child custody case un prepared, after months and months of time to prepare. Ended up losing the case, and in my opinion she pretty much gave it away. Didn't let me know beforehand that my son needed to be there to testify, because you cannot bring up absolutely anything unless the child is present... therefore every point that I or my witnesses tried to make was completely void. His narcissitic dad got more time, now my son is even more miserable and having to deal with way more drama than ever before.. it's sad and it was a waste of thousands of dollars. She did not interview any of my witnesses prior to the trial. It seemed very much like winging it, and again, the case was pretty much given away.
