I want to Give a Big Thank You to Ms. Gelissa Mejia Has made my experience with this law firm very pleasant. She’s very informative. As far as giving you updated information when you contact the office and quickly responds when need this office’s help in Gastonia, North Carolina.I have two daughters who have stage 2 and stage 3 autism and they both have taken a very strong liking to this sweet-hearted woman.. After hearing me and my daughter talk about some of the experiences, she was going through after being separated from me. She kindly offered my daughter, a hug which she didn’t have to do, but she did because she’s just that type of person. I would consider as an “Earth Angel ”. She has been helpful and diligent with keeping me connected to my lawyer. Thank you for making this experience with King Law exceptionally better with a small gesture of kindness and sincerely, sweet words. Most people have been overwhelmed by my daughters due to their disabilities, but not her. She was always polite and genuinely Being helpful and I am thankful for her patience with me and my family. Hired them to do simple mediation for visitation of my grandson. Wanted 5,000 out the gate. Keep screwing up the letter to be sent. Charged me for their mistakes. Then act as if they can't put my money back on my credit card. Did nothing and paid a lot for their incompetence. Worthless.

I would not recommend King Law based on my experience with them. I was charged billable time simply to be informed that the attorney I was originally scheduled to meet with was leaving the firm and that my case would be reassigned. The attorney I was reassigned to initially seemed great, but unfortunately that impression did not last. What became incredibly frustrating was watching my bill continue to grow week after week while there seemed to be little to no meaningful progress on my case. My ex-husband was not taking action, and rather than feeling like my attorney was actively helping move things forward, I felt like I was paying someone to wait. And wait. And keep billing me while we waited. Custody cases can already drag on for an exhausting amount of time. Mine has been going on for nearly a year. If I had continued with this attorney and continued being billed at that rate while essentially nothing happened, I genuinely believe I would be in massive debt by now. Eventually, I fired the firm and hired another attorney. Looking back, I feel like I invested thousands of dollars with King Law and received very little in return. No meaningful results. Very little guidance or support. And absolutely no sense that the amount I was being billed matched the value I was receiving. I understand that attorneys cannot control what the opposing party does, and I never expected instant results. What I did expect was to feel like the attorney I was paying was actively representing my interests, strategizing with me, and helping move my case toward a resolution. That was not my experience here. The only person on this planet I would recommend King Law to is my ex-husband.
