I had a consult with Susanne and within the first five minutes I knew she wasn't for me. I had sent my entire case to Chastity, who was lovely, to which this lawyer said "I don't review anything unless I've gotten paid." And then proceeded to say if that's how I wanted to spend my 30 minute consult time, then so be it. Then referred to my ex as a "he" when I actually have an ex-wife, which was a huge red flag as she obviously had no idea about me whatsoever. I moved from GA and was told I had to update to OH---which she talked very fast about not knowing how to proceed updating it, etc. It was just extremely uncomfortable given that I've had consultations before and never had a lawyer speak to me like I was wasting their time. It's a shame because the other lawyers seem to have good reviews but I'd stay away, especially if you're LGBT.

Attorney Marissa Dyson and her assistant Amanda Wyllie were great to work with. Both clearly demonstrated a strong understanding of family law and the often frustrating processes involved, helping me navigate the system with confidence. They seemed genuinely interested not only in resolving the legal issues of my case, but also in supporting my overall well-being during a very difficult time.

One thing worth noting: Marissa is one of the few attorneys willing to work in Butler County, which is known for having particularly difficult and convoluted court procedures. That alone sets her apart and shows her commitment to helping clients, even in challenging jurisdictions.

The costs felt high, though to be fair, I didn’t do much comparison shopping, so I can’t say how their fees stack up to other firms. I did encounter some difficulty getting flexibility from my case manager, and unfortunately, she was not particularly polite about it.

Despite that, I would still recommend Marissa and Amanda for anyone going through a divorce or family law matter, particularly in Butler County. Their professionalism and compassion made a big difference.
