My experience with this law firm was okay. They handled all of the basic things like paperwork and pre-trial court appearances. They did not prioritize letting me know when to start classes or community service that would help my situation. I had to initiate this question to them on my own and then I was being rushed to complete them. Once I was offered a plea deal by the state, I definitely felt pressure from attorneys to reject it as they argued the evidence against me was not strong (I was facing a DWI, got pulled over for speeding, aced most of the field sobriety tests, and was acting coherent, but told the officer I had a few drinks that night). So I agreed the evidence was not too strong, but my BAC came back to be exactly 0.08 and there was THC in my system. The attorneys felt quite confident that if we took it to trial we would win and the charge would be dropped. There was little explanation as to what would happen if I did reject the plea. In the end, I did decide to reject the plea and take it to trial. During the trial, it felt as if my attorneys were not as prepared as they could have been. By the second day of the trial I had a strong feeling the outcome would not be good. We lost the trial and my punishment ended up being a little bit more than what was initially offered in the plea deal, plus I had a big trial fee to pay. I do appreciate all of the work that the attorneys did do for me, but in the end what I stated here are the facts and how I felt.

You don't know the gold standard in attorneys until you use Seymour & Vaughn. Hailey Ferguson drafted a Living Trust for me, and it was a delight to work with her. Her attention to detail and gentle demeanor helped me through a difficult transition when my husband passed away. I have full confidence that she had my interests at heart and drafted a very sound product that protected my assets while honoring my very specific wishes. She walked me through things I had not thought about. She and her assistant followed up many times and even provided a legacy video of me reiterating my directives in my own voice. This was a wonderful addition that I still like listening and watching over again. I highly recommend their services and especially appreciated Hailey’s family-like care she provided at a very vulnerable time. She still calls to check on me long after they've been paid. That's real care.

I don't want to share information at the risk of them trying to come after me but I'd recommend checking the bar website for disciplinary actions against one of these attorneys before hiring them. The neglect of clients and lack of communication is true. They only want your money and don't care about you or your family as people.
