In 2005 Ron Geffner and Doug Hirsch from Sadis &Goldberg set up a Private Placement Memorandum for me and my companies. They charged me $37k. In 2006, Doug did some extra work for me as a former employer had stolen over $100k from me in commissions. He charged me of course. In 2008, FINRA charged me with "not upholding high standards" for my email exchange with the principals of that Broker Dealer who had stolen money from me. It was two years from the date of the emails and my licenses had already lapsed. Doug wouldn't even back his own work and I ended up having to hire a new lawyer and I was initially suspended for 10 days and fined $10k and then Finra appealed their own decision and I was suspended one year and fined $50k for a simple email exchange that Doug had mediated. Doug would not lift a finger to help me or even write a letter to Finra or the NAC. In 20010, the CFTC sued me and my fund for a "simple registration violation". I asked Ron Geffner to please gte me the documents from 2005 to prove the fund was exempted properly. He ignored my requests. In 2017 I asked Ron to write an amicus brief to the Court. He wrote back to me that, "it wasn't his area of practice." So, I am writing to all you people in hedge funds or in financial services to stay clear of Geffner, Hirsch and Sadis & Goldberg. They are nothing but scumbags. I wouldn't be surpised if they work with regulators in getting charges brought so they can make more money. As a former SEC attorney, I wouldn't doubt Geffner doing something like that. He doesn't stand behind his work and he cannot be trusted.
