I hired Mr. Dunlap a few years back. Absolutely loved him, which is why I called him about a similar, but new issue this time. First off--didn't respond to my email. Second off--called and now he has this new AI System. I have to tell you: completely unprofessional for a law firm. What if someone needed him in an emergency? The AI System doesn't just transfer you to a live person. The AI System repeats itself over and over again and then makes you enter the same information over and over again. To add insult to injury: the firm will get back to you when they have time. The insulting part of this is that usually potential clients--like myself--we call during our lunch breaks. During the times we have available. I am not sure why Mr. Dunlap changed how they do business, but it feels like now we work around their schedule rather than the law firm working around our schedule. Why should I have to wait for a call back--during business hours--and stop everything I'm doing for a firm that I'm going to retain and pay? There's an old saying: "how it begins is how it ends". If it is this challenging to get a hold of them--not as a client--imagine the nightmare of trying to get to them as their client. Definitely turned me off.

However, I played the game and let the office call me back. They did yesterday. Scheduled an appointment to speak with Dunlap today at 1 PM. No call. Emailed him. No response. Called the AI System. It told me they'll send my info to the office. Honestly, I don't know why Mr. Dunlap changed how he does business, but this decision to go to AI was horrible. I get that maybe he thinks it will save him money--and his secretaries can focus on other tasks--but, in my view, it costs him clients. The money he could have made from new clients that were turned off by this AI System is money his firm lost by not just having his people man the phone. Law is a people business. And, when we need attorneys, people tend to be more desperate. We don't want to wait a week to get a hold of them.

It is my understanding Mr. Dunlap is interested in politics. I would just remind him that a "Jack of all trades, but a master of none". If you are interested in politics--and spending half your time on politics--then, you are not running your law firm--or dedicating your time to your clients--given that half your time is now spent furthering your political career. You have to make a choice: politics or running a law firm. Just my opinion as someone who had hired Dunlap in the past--and saw his amazing style/skills--but is sad to see the decline in services now that he has political ambitions.

I also want to say that when I did hire Dunlap a few years ago--and I do try to be fair--he was absolutely incredible. He was honest, He didn't try to shake me down. He told me hard truths rather than let me sit there and hold fairytale ambitions. I also just loved his story since his story was my story. So, when it comes to be an awesome attorney: I simply don't agree with some of the reviews I've read. He is when he is dedicated to you. I really just think this new approach can be due to an increase in clients in recent years and/or the political ambitions. It caused--in my view--the decline I mentioned herein. When this man is dedicated to a case: he'll get the job done. It's just a matter of now getting him dedicated to the case. And how can one do that if we can't speak with him?

Can’t even get through to speak to someone because the AI robot secretary keeps turning me away.
