This is an honest account of my consultation experience with Mr. Resnick and Mr. Forton between July 2025 and May 2026.

During my initial paid consultation with Mr. Resnick in July 2025, I was not advised of the statute of limitations on my case, only the cost to begin. He was enthusiastic about potential outcomes. I have a transcript of that call.

When I returned in April 2026 with the funds to proceed, I was required to pay an additional consultation fee due to the time elapsed. I then spoke with Mr. Forton, re-presented all case details, and he was similarly encouraging , though he was the first to mention that the statute of limitations had likely now passed. He offered that other legal options existed and promised to follow up the following week.

I waited. I emailed the office. I missed one call and returned it immediately. I emailed twice more and called again before finally reaching Mr. Resnick. He then stated that he believed he had mentioned the statute of limitations during our original call. He had not. I have the transcript.

He then informed me the case would cost nearly twice the original figure, that I likely would not prevail, and suggested I should simply take comfort in having peace of mind. I had that peace of mind $700 ago, before being misled, stalled, and left without the timely legal guidance a paid consultation is supposed to provide.

For a firm that presents itself as reputable, the lack of comprehensive advisement and basic professional follow-through was deeply disappointing.
