Mr. Sterling Bowers recently helped resolve a legal matter with a very satisfactory result. Mr. Bowers clearly outlined the goals to resolve the matter and was a man of his word. We are grateful for his assistance and professional nature.

Losing my dad was one of the most difficult experiences our family has faced, and navigating the legal side of things felt overwhelming at first. Working with Tray and his team made all the difference. Tray took the time to clearly explain every step of the process, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and never made us feel rushed. He guided us through probate and estate matters with both professionalism and genuine care, and we always felt we were in good hands. I highly recommend Tray Payne to anyone needing legal representation, especially during such a challenging time. Thank you, Tray, for everything you’ve done for my family.

Matt P’s lack of sense of urgency is alarming, or non existent. Per me and his clients mediation agreement, he was supposed to have docs to a Judge by 3/2/26. My attorney got them more than a week after, had to fix numerous mistakes he or his paralegal made, I signed my copy a week ago, and I still haven’t seen anything signed by a judge. Maybe he’s taking in too much, or maybe he stops working hard once a case is almost closed since he’s not going to keep getting paid. Lots of quality lawyers in this town that offer value and return on investment. The former DA is not one of them, in my humble opinion. He might also not like me because I called him Mr. Ware….

Might submit a report to the Bar. Matt has not complied with the terms of the mediation agreement. Just a sign he may have too many clients to handle.

A few things I need to add after the firm’s response. Matt sent my attorney a final order that Needed multiple revisions because it went against what our mediation agreement stated. After I signed, his client requested additional revisions because apparently he did not explain the terms of our mediation agreement to her. My attorney did a phenomenal job of explaining to me what I was signing and I understood it. Calling people names is easy, but facts are facts. I would not call attention to detail, and maybe even having honest conversations with his clients, a strong suit of his.

Lastly, mediation agreement stated “Matt Powell agrees to submit final order to the court by March 2, 2026”. My attorney is filing it this morning. So, I’m getting to pay my attorney to do his job. A complaint has been filed with the Texas Bar.
