Stay away under all circumstances!! I’ve never met a lawyer that does a significant background check on their client in order to calculate what type of fee they’re going to charge. Its ridiculous to ask a client what they do what a living and what type of assets they have when a civil case has nothing to do with that. I come to realize that it was all part of their sham. The lawyer probably worked a total of 5 hours, ended up concocting an entire bill that was not even accurate and was nearly $10,000. Beware, they take a retainer but upon using up all the retainer funds, they do not notify you and stick you with a crazy bill at the end. Do not even think about speaking to the lawyer about next steps in the case without getting a bill. They absolutely charge everything!!! They don’t care about their clients at all, they only care about the thousands of dollars they can suck out from their client. Very shameful.
