Nash & Kromash, LLP

Sent both myself and fiancé letters but refused to tell us what they were regarding. Refused to let us speak with the paralegal that was listed on the paperwork. Very rude to us and unprofessional. Steer away from awful business practices.

I have been tasked with assisting in closing the affairs of my mother who recently passed. I have had quite a few issues with the paralegal for Attorney Nash and I think others need to be aware.

The paralegal Renee contacted me at my place of employment regarding these matters instead of simply asking for my contact information in the numerous emails we had been sending back and forth for days. She took the time to search through numerous emails to find where I had forwarded something scanned from my work email, to my personal email and then copied to her and Attorney Nash, and then chose to call a number from a formatted email signature that was obviously linked to a business. I was formally reprimanded at work for taking personal calls and giving out the office number as my personal number, which obviously I did not do.

I was told I needed to drop forms by the office so they could have the original signature, when all the while the process could have been started using digital copies. We were delayed WEEKS because this detail was never conveyed. I work two full time jobs and had a hard time getting there by the time they close. They claim to close at five but I attempted to show up between 4:30 and 5pm on three separate occasions to find the office closed. One time I made it in around 4:15 turned in my paperwork and then was told they never received it. I wasn't even told there was an after hours drop box until my fifth visit where I watched the receptionist walk out at 4:22pm, thankfully I had learned of the drop box that morning and utilized that. (Also the after hours drop box is a simply a mail slot in the door, I would never assume I could drop confidential legal documents through a door slot but they allow it here and I didn't have any more PTO so I had to leave them if I wanted to get the process started.)

I have tried to give myself time to not be so upset and I am trying my best to be understanding, I have numerous lawyers in my family and try to give grace because we are all doing our best. I know their jobs are exponentially stressful, but it is incredibly frustrating for those of us who are doing our best to grieve, take care of our surviving parent, manage our families and work, etc to then have to deal with these issues that are not only easy to fix, but also require just a few more minutes of time to be spent on someone's case.

Regarding the legal matters, everything has been handled nicely and I appreciate Attorney Nash's time and efforts on behalf of my late Mom. He was always incredibly professional, explained things in terms I could understand and responded very quickly to all inquiries.

Nash and Kromash staff were amazing! They assisted my father with creating his will and estate documents and explained all of the paper work in simple terms. Nina Rawal is extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain all of the nuances in an uncomplicated manner and thoroughly discussed aspects of the will and impacts of certain decisions. We are so appreciative of Nash and Kromash’s services!

The good ol' boys network is alive and well in Brevard County, and now includes women! Eve Bouchard talked a real good game when I hired her to represent me in a prolonged guardianship battle over my elderly mom, who had been financially abused and physically neglected. She said she would fight hard for my mom, but took nearly $50K and was not only wholly ineffectual, but abandoned me as a client right when we were headed to trial! I should have known when she didn't know the names of the key players 8 months in and asked me for a family tree, should have known when she kept telling me opposing counsel was a "nice guy", should have known when she told me I should just worry about spending time with my mom, and told a cautionary tale about a client of hers whose parent died during a guardianship trial, and how upsetting that was -- for Eve. My mom is still alive, and I'm still fighting for her. With a lawyer who actually does their job and puts their work where their mouth is, we won our major points in a settlement. Eve told me she had another case and didn't have the manpower to handle mine as a reason to quit - why did you take my case then? My current lawyer is a one man show and handled it easily with less than 2 months prep. She also tried to blame me for using a legal strategy that was on the table when I hired her, it should have come as no surprise. Eve gave me nothing but an ulcer and an empty wallet as I had to represent myself when she unceremoniously dumped me on false pretenses. I asked her to knock the bill down as she did not do the job she was hired to do and which she said she could and would do, but no luck trying to 'klaw' my money back from these grubbers. Ms. Bouchard may be perfectly adept at writing wills and such, but if you need a pitbull in court, don't hire a lapdog who curls up with opposing counsel. The real crime is my mother lost 3 years of her precious life to these time and money wasters. As a lawyer pal from high school said, they're waiting for her to die. It's a shameful corrupt system not just in Florida but around the country. We need to do better by our elders, who deserve our utmost care and protection, not continue to be fleeced by the system that's supposed to be helping them.
