The utmost gratitude and respect I have for Nagle & Giese, P.C., specifically Attorney Hailey McGillivray, Paralegals Nicki and Robin, and Ms. Lisa, is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I was fortunate enough to have Attorney McGillivray represent me in my Order of Protection extension case in May 2026. Not only did she listen to me and allow me to fully explain my situation—which is complicated—but she listened intently and provided guidance on how to move forward, even if I ultimately chose not to retain her services.

Walking back into the DuPage Courthouse was terrifying. I knew I would have to face the respondent yet again, as well as the intimidation tactics. Attorney McGillivray not only stood by my side throughout the process, but after the hearing she personally walked me to the parking garage to make sure I got to my car safely.

I know there were many people working behind the scenes on my case whom I may never have the opportunity to thank individually, but I hope each of them knows how grateful my family and I are. The extension Attorney McGillivray secured is helping keep my family, our dog, and me safe for another two years.

Anyone who has survived domestic abuse knows the difference between someone doing a job and someone who truly wants to help and believes you. Attorney McGillivray is that person. I am incredibly grateful that she chose to become an attorney and that she is part of the team at Nagle & Giese.

I have kept Attorney McGillivray’s business card in my wallet since May. To me, it represents more than legal representation. It reminds me that someone stood beside me, protected me in court, and helped me begin to feel safe again after more than a decade of abuse.

Thank you, Attorney McGillivray, for everything.

I consulted with Hannah McKinney for a prenup that my fiancé and I had drafted, and first she stated that the prenup was too confusing and redundant and she needed to draft a whole new one herself. So I reluctantly agreed and the new one she sent had to be revised multiple times because it was not what me and my fiancé had agreed to in the original one we sent her. My fiancé actually pointed out the many different errors in it that needed to be fixed. The wording in her prenup was contradictory and had to be edited so much because she just did not listen to what we wanted and therefore we had to edit this up until a week before our wedding. It would take weeks to get a response after following up multiple times. I consulted her in December and we didn’t get the prenup done until May. She also bad mouthed the attorney my fiancé was using (his attorney was fine with editing our original prenup by the way). And the hours kept getting billed for all this nonsense. Then to top it off, me and my fiancé go in to sign the prenup, and my attorney is not there, and they had errors in the prenup as well as missing documentation that the prenup stated had to be included. So because my fiancé brought this up to them and questioned their wrongdoings in a direct manner, my attorney emailed me afterwards saying he is not welcome back to notarize the prenup. My attorney, who was not present at the time, lied and stated that “he was asked to leave and wouldn’t and it was frightening.” He was never asked to leave. In fact he was laughing with the paralegal 10 seconds before we left. It was the most inept prenup drafting experience I ever could have imagined. If you need a prenup, go elsewhere!

The Kathryn Walker talks a big game but she did a poor job representing me at the court. She repeatedly emailed me and caused me more confusion. She is weak in strategizing and keeping up to date with the documents.

My experience was with Hannah and Nikki, communication was consistent and excellent. My questions were answered very well to put me in a position where I was able to navigate my situation clearly. I would recommend.
