I am a homeowner in Somers, NY. I had Greg Buccherri, the owner of Buccheri Plumbing on January 13th and 14th, 2026 attempt to repair a water heater under warranty. He was not successful and explained that there is no leak so it was not able to be replaced.
I called the office and left a message and Joe answered and having known my parents and myself went to assess the morning of January 15th and was to call me.
Later in the day, my tenant called me and stated that the heater was replaced. Until last Thursday when I called the Town Construction Department, the information trickled. Buccheri sold his company and the new co-owner, Mike, stated I fell thru the cracks. I had called and wrote a note to figure out what happened and to no avail. I knew there was paperwork from the original purchase and was given no paperwork or receipts and no call for the process for a replacement. I was told by Toby at the Town that an electrician has to be present for an initial connection.
My tenant reported that there was an electrician with Joe and now changed his story. So the tenant has hot water and no electrician??? It then points to the plumber connecting the wires ... This is dangerous.

Now I am expected to post sign an app and lie as I have no authentic information about what happened and if there were no leaks then the replacement was under false pretense...?

The Town, Tom Tooma, will not speak to me to date after multiple emails of explanation.

I then called Michael McDermott as he states he is a mediator. I am fearful that a fire could start and it seems no one else cares. I live in Chicago and left 3 messages very late last night reaching out for mediation and describing the situation.

Today he left a message very early and I notified that I am in CST that he can't help me and then blocked my number.

SO FAR, I THINK SOMERS IS STILL IN AMERICA OR DID IT BECOME A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY...WOULD ANYONE PAY TO HAVE THEIR FUNDS SPENT WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE...?

It seems Toby, from the Town, met with Greg Buccheri last week, and he discussed that I would not be charged labor. Is that not a conversation Greg needs to have with me BEFORE any alternate work is done??? I may have simply bought a different heater from Home Depot and my question about a system for hard water to PREVENT element build up was NOT answered.

This is the 3rd time Greg Buccheri has spent my funds without my knowledge. THE TENANT IS NOT THE OWNER.

Somehow there are all bad things happening against me and not for prevention behind the scenes.
There is a willful creation of liability from the actions of right now, men who claim to be professionals and mediators and enforce justice and who are acting not only unethical and questionable; they are putting my home and my tenants in harms way.

They know my number and they need to have the courage to use it and assist me. They would not allow this to happen to their wives or mothers or anyone they wanted to thrive nor should they allow this to happen to me; a woman and owner and tax payer.

Shame on McDermott coming from a former Court Mediator in Colorado and Florida as he misread the situation and acted on impulse rather than facts.
