				The online Google unfo says this office does "legal adoption family".  The email I got in responseto my adoption. Issue was "My firm no longer represents clients in court matters as it is exclusively focused on mediation and collaborative law"

				I hired Lisa Hillegas to help me with the name change of my 17 year old grandson.  I have been raising mostly by myself since he was 6 years old.  My ex-wife and I are both his legal guardians.  My grandson expressed to me years ago that he would like to have my last name.  I was finally able to afford it and I heard good things about Lisa Hillegas through word of mouth.   She is very thorough, efficient and friendly.  She was able to complete the process in shorter time frame than average.  One of the things she told us when we first met with her is that she believes that communication is very important between the attorney and the clients.  She left no stone unturned and got the job done.   I have worked around attorneys for more than 30 years during my career and I was very impressed.

				I chose attorney Lisa Hillegas to consult individually for a divorce that had barely progressed for almost three years. Although I felt frustrated, she was able to see that settlement was possible in my case. Lisa brought knowledge and clarity from her many years' experience in family law. I imagined I was on the ground in unfamiliar terrain during a "fire", but Lisa "radioed me from the spotter plane" information most pertinent to navigating my divorce toward completion. 				I found Lisa during my search for a family law attorney in Mendocino County. I wanted a professional opinion and help for my case to get set visitations from them since I reside Socal. We were in contact during the time of Covid so most of my interactions were via email and zoom calls. Any question or concern Lisa was quick to respond with any feedback or News she really went above and beyond to help me and support me in getting my rights as father to have them visit me. 

She did everything in the best interest of my kids and gave me some words of advice for my Preteen daughter this really help me a lot for the future decisions I needed to make once they were going to be coming down more often.
