I was in a horrible accident in September on Black Friday the 13th 2019. It was during commute hour and traffic was at a crawl bumper to bumper on Hwy 101 in Petaluma. I was behind a guy who I was following for a good mile and he had been swerving on and off the hey on the right shoulder and then back in front of me. I was keeping my distance from him because I was telling myself this guy is going to cause an accident.
Well just as the Hwy opens up into 3 lanes of traffic and everyone starts picking up speed and moving over into the commute lane this guy swerved hard right and Ceres off the Hwy and head on into the metal barricade way before the exit to Old Redwood Hwy. Petaluma Blvd. North, he hits the barricade head on his SUV flips up in the air twists around and heads back onto the Hwy and land land directly in front of me sideways. I had nowhere to go, luckily I had started slowing down when I saw this happening and was trying to go around to another lane, but I was stuck, so I started braking and I hit him broadside.
The whole thing was a nightmare. The air bags imploded, my windshield shattered, my engine caught fire I was trapped in my car and I couldn’t hear anything!
Next day I get a call from Ben Glen and he talked with me on the phone for almost 2 hrs. And he took my case. He handled everything. My attorney Deborah Heller negotiated with the insurance agent who only wanted to pay me 60,000.00! That didn’t even pay my medical bills! She finally got a settlement quote from them that was more acceptable and would pay the costs I endured and give me money left over.
