I recently needed a real estate attorney for a non-transactional matter. I contacted several attorneys from SJ to SF, including the East Bay, and found that their responses generally fell into the following categories:

1) Ghosted / never returned my calls.
2) Some replied with a menu of fees with one asking for a $600 consultation fee (a neutral statement, not a judgment on how anyone runs their business).
3) Several days to respond to each message.
4) One launched into a monologue about how he could take my case all the way to the Supreme Court.
