I am an attorney. I was referred to Mr. Schwab by another bankruptcy attorney in Sacramento. Mr. Schwab committed malpractice in my case and did no work on my case. I gave him a $15,000 retainer and I don’t know what happened to it, because Mr. Schwab has provided me with no accounting whatsoever. Mr. Schwab was to review and amend my bankruptcy petition. We met for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours with the changes to be made. Mr. Schwab was to file an amended bankruptcy petition with the Court. Though he was to prepare the amended petition, he never did. I am very certain that he didn’t do any work on my case. Never saw a file on my case. I am 68 years old and practiced law for 44 years. I retired in May, 2024. I was not going to retire until 70 years old, but my health failed me. I was diagnosed with lupus when I was 31 years old. I have lived with severe depression for the last 25 years. I can’t write at all. Both of my thumbs cause me severe pain. There has been an initial diagnosis of dementia. It really hit me in November, 2023. I was not who I am. Now that I look back, I believe something started several years, but in November 2023, I was losing the ability to remember and to think. When I went to meet with Mr. Schwab, it was his advice to me to simply leave things as they were and go travel (told him that I wanted to travel, when I retired). This is a summary of certain events that occurred to me with Mr. Schwab. It is not a complete summary of Mr. Schwab’s actions with regard to my case. Beware of Mr. Schwab, because beyond a simple bankruptcy, he is not competent to handle any legal matter.

From one attorney to another, Eric is top notch. Although I did not need his help personally, his immediate insight and willingness to dig through the facts was immensely helpful.
