The nursing home took full advantage of me knowing that I no longer lived local in California. The fact that I lived on the east coast and could not be there to keep track of everything going on with my mom every day and making sure she was receiving the care she deserved from the very beginning. When I received the call from the nursing home that my mother was very ill and they wanted to know if I wanted her to be transported to the hospital, of course I said yes immediately only to receive the terrible news from the doctors three hours later what her labs showed and the horrible condition my mom was received in and that they didn’t expect she would make it through the night. As time progressed she continued to deteriorate and within three days of arrival to the emergency room she had passed on to a much better place. I was such a mess as I was the only child and had never experienced anything like this before and other than receiving support from the hospital social workers during my devastating time I really wasn’t sure what to do. The next morning after losing my mom I decided to look for an attorney back home in California that would be willing to help me no matter how far away I was and Lanzone Morgan LLP did just that it was as if the 2800 miles between us was nothing at all.
