Shannon represented me during my divorce in 2019 and was there when I needed her again for recent post judgement litigation. There is not enough space on this page to list all of the wonderful things I have to say about her and about LaFrance Law in general. She journeyed with me through a very contentious, labor intensive process both times. Most importantly, her primary focus was ALWAYS the wellbeing of my daughter. I know I wasn't her only client, but it certainly felt like it. She represented me assertively but honestly- never using underhanded tactics with me or the opposing side. Shannon is level-headed, detailed, well spoken, dedicated and wonderful at bringing the focus back to where it needs to be. She has keen insight into people and holds everyone (including herself and her clients) accountable. Read that again, because it's rare. Her rates are more than reasonable. I never felt that money was her motive; In fact I am 100% sure I paid her less than she deserved. She never pressured me to spend money or direct energy where it wouldn't be beneficial. Everyone in her family-based firm works equally as hard. After receiving a prompt response to an email on Thanksgiving and off-the-clock phone calls from Shannon responding to urgent concerns of mine, I decided to be cognizant of my timing, because she ALWAYS makes time for her clients. She has also taught me things that will help me navigate if ever I choose to go it alone. "Thank you" isn't big enough to express my gratitude.

It pains me to write this because I genuinely think Shannon is a kind person. She'd probably be wonderful to have coffee with or sing in a church choir with or ???. Unfortunately, my experience as a divorce client was very disappointing. In my experience, she was one of the most expensive attorneys I encountered. She continued performing billable work after my retainer had been exceeded, and I saw very little emphasis on efficiency or controlling costs. Her approach felt overly focused on procedural technicalities and minutiae—as if every motion was being prepared for the Supreme Court rather than the practical realities of family court. Meanwhile, I felt opposing counsel was setting the pace and tone while my case became increasingly expensive. When it finally came time for actual lawyer work, her motion prep came across as generic, condescending, and at times felt like copy-and-paste responses rather than thoughtful, case-specific hard hitting rebuttals, even though I provided dozens of pages of research for her to go off of. I also got the impression that she strongly resisted modern technology—she seemed to recoil at the mere thought of using AI as a tool to improve efficiency. She sent me case studies that has nothing to do with my case. The biggest disappointment came when I raised concerns about my representation. Instead of discussing them or trying to repair the attorney-client relationship, or even acknowleding the fracture, she withdrew from my case without warning almost instantly. From my perspective, it felt like protecting her professional position and image in front of the court and opposing council took priority over standing by her client until I could find a replacement attorney. I expected strategic, practical advocacy. Instead, I left feeling let down and would not hire her again. She didn't project confidence I was looking for to build settlement leverage. Seems like she wants to go to trial, I wanted to settle.

Shannon is by far the best DIVORCE attorney. She is prompt and gets things done. I would highly recommend everyone to her as she is fast and get things done the right way.

Shannon is good people. she walked me through a very difficult process, provided me with so much information when we first met, that I knew she was the right choice for my specific needs. She totally understands the issues and has a unique perspective that only experience can facilitate.
Shannon was literally with me every step of the way and explained everything. Her knowledge is above and beyond compare. This review was an easy one to write. Her firm is excellent and I would recommend her to anyone.
