Emily Wilson was the exact divorce atty I needed but did not realize at the start. What would become an unnecessarily tedious, overly drawn-out, and at times unbearably infuriating divorce, was made tolerable by Emily's non-reactive, cool-headed, steady, and exceptionally competent representation. She answered every question, considered every variable, and knew every law related to my situation. She was always on time, always well organized, and always on the case. I felt listened to and heard. Her steady non-anxious approach was apparent from beginning to end. Her empathy and her command of the law, the process, and my case gave me a sense of certainty and confidence during a time when everything else was falling apart. She was the attorney the gods knew I needed. I couldn't recommend her more strongly for any family law need.

my experience dates back a few years ago, divorce situation. I was assigned by attorney Kowalski to one of his underlings and unfortunately received very little value for my dollar. House closing, mediation agreement, child support and custody negotiation ... she missed egregious mistakes on documents, didn't put up any fight, didn't appear very experienced or informed on multiple fronts. Overall experience POOR ... and not cheap!

Hiring Kowalski was one of those experiences where the problem was not that the case was complicated. The problem was that important parts of the case appeared to be treated as if they were invisible.

There were clear gaps in the opposing party’s discovery that should have been identified, questioned, and used strategically. Instead, they seemed to pass through the process untouched, like nobody had bothered to turn the lights on in the room.

In my opinion, Kowalski’s handling showed a serious lack of preparation, attention to detail, and litigation judgment. I did not feel like my case was being studied, protected, or driven forward with the level of care a client should expect.

I would not hire him again, and I would urge anyone considering him to ask very direct questions about how closely he reviews discovery, how involved he personally is, and what safeguards he has in place to make sure major issues are not missed.
