State Bar of California Office of Chief Trial Counsel Re: Complaint Against Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP To Whom It May Concern: I am submitting a complaint regarding the conduct of attorneys at Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP in connection with a debt collection matter involving an alleged balance of $12,290.38 related to a residential tenancy in Mission Viejo. On March 10, 2026, I submitted a formal written dispute and request for validation of the alleged debt. My request specifically sought a complete accounting ledger, supporting documentation for all charges, and the contractual or legal basis for approximately $4,955.63 in “non-judgment” fees included in the amount claimed. Despite this: The firm has failed to provide any validation or substantive response to my written dispute. The firm proceeded to report the alleged debt to credit reporting agencies after receiving my dispute. The firm contacted my place of employment (my broker) in connection with this matter. These actions raise serious concerns regarding compliance with professional and ethical obligations, including: Improper third-party communication in connection with a debt collection matter Reporting a disputed and unvalidated debt Attempting to collect amounts not supported by documentation or court judgment In addition to my individual experience, I have identified numerous publicly available consumer complaints describing similar conduct by this firm, including attempts to collect unverified debts, reporting disputed accounts to credit bureaus, and adding significant fees without clear documentation. While I understand such complaints are not determinative on their own, the consistency of these reports suggests a potential pattern of conduct affecting multiple consumers. As attorneys, they are held to a higher standard of professional conduct. The actions described above appear inconsistent with obligations of fairness, honesty, and adherence to applicable consumer protection laws. In addition, based on my experience and the consistency of similar publicly available consumer complaints describing comparable conduct, I am in the process of consulting with consumer protection counsel regarding potential claims under applicable federal and California law, including whether this conduct may reflect a broader pattern affecting multiple consumers. I respectfully request that the State Bar review this matter to determine whether the conduct of this firm, and any responsible attorneys, complies with the California Rules of Professional Conduct. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation, including my written dispute dated March 10, 2026 and related correspondence.

These guys have me in collection and I have no idea why. No letters. No emails. No phone calls. No account. Just a bill for $450. What for? I have no idea!!!! Freaking SCAM
