I hired Ms. Trant to handle my divorce case couple of years back. She couldn't settle in mediation, she couldn't avoid trial, she had no strategy, she made mistakes in the motions filed in the court including mistakes like misspelling Judge's name. I noticed similar review about her so I think I am not the only one who is complaining about her incompetency. Early trial half way my divorce cost me around 20K and on top of that I had to pay opposing counsel's fees and my spouse makes as much as I do so it wasn't like she didn't have money to pay. She messed it up so bad that It took me two other attorneys to finally get the case in my favor. Also, i felt that her firm KLHF cares about money only and so she was understaffed.

I also noticed responses suggesting that negative reviews are “fake” or posted by opposing parties. That explanation is difficult to accept. It raises concerns about how client feedback is being addressed rather than acknowledged.

In my case, I am a real client sharing a genuine experience. Dismissing concerns this way does not reflect accountability or professionalism. Prospective clients should take the time to carefully review feedback and make informed decisions.

I had a very disappointing experience working with Lauren Trant. From my perspective, the representation lacked the level of preparation, courtroom effectiveness, and strategic direction I expected when hiring an attorney.

Communication became inconsistent, and I was often left without clear guidance on how my case was being handled. Billing was also a major concern. The invoices were difficult to understand and did not provide the level of transparency I expected given the fees being charged.

The outcome of my case was extremely unfavorable and had serious financial and personal consequences for me, including changes to custody, increased child support obligations, loss of my home, and being ordered to pay attorney’s fees to the opposing side. While no attorney can guarantee results, I did not feel adequately represented or supported during critical moments.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that others carefully evaluate their options and ask detailed questions about communication, billing clarity, and case strategy before hiring legal representation.
