We met Kelley in 2017 when she helped us with guardianship for our two boys who had entered our lives by foster care. Their biological mother had gained reunification with them, but over the course of a couple months, she was having us keep them for her. When it came time for the oldest to start kindergarten, my husband told her she needs to enroll him in school, and she told my husband to do it. At that point, he spoke with Kelley. Kelley is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She will cross every T and dot every i. We went to court and obtained temporary guardianship. Sometime later, Kelley helped us with permanent guardianship. Four years later I reached out to her because we were going through a divorce and I asked her if she would be my lawyer for the custody aspect of our divorce (since the boys were not biological to us, their custody didn’t fall under our family court divorce). She informed me that she couldn’t because she had represented both my husband and I previously, as a couple, and it would be a conflict of interest, but she was extremely helpful with resources for me, which I was so grateful for. Just last month, eight years after her originally helping us, I had to reach out to her again because our social worker said our county files were missing a document from a 2017 court hearing. I knew it would be a lot to expect that Kelley would be able to help in this situation, but I knew if nothing else, she would be resourceful for me and that would be a start. Low and behold, Kelley had the exact document (minutes from the 2017 hearing) that was required by the social worker. Eight years later! Amazing. To get to the point: no matter what you are considering Kelley for, go for it! She will not disappoint 😊
