My case was an international move away case. I was just notified yesterday that move was changed to the east coast, and I have 6 days to prepare. Opposing counsel successfully secured a trial a month out from the intial hearing with my request for an evaluation denied. HBP recommend I file a costly writ, and let me know at that time $10k would be required 4 days later in order for them to represent me at the evidentiary hearing, with another $10k due at trial. I have no choice but to self represent. I have already given them nearly $9,000, and all that was accomplished was addressing a discovery issue that should have been addressed at the initial hearing. A little over $600 is left in the trust, and they told me it's 30-60 days before that will be dispursed. I have to pay my former custody monitor $4,000 to appear, and I'm drained. I don't know why I expected this firm to be different. Great Facebook advertising I guess.

Unless you want to burn money and get treated like you are an unsuitable client because after four months of non-stop work by me sending every piece of information as fast as I could to them, they had done nothing. They charged me $8,500.00 for the privilege of being ignored and billed for nothing because they did nothing. I am submitting a complaint based on the Rules of Professional Conduct to their governing body The State Bar of California. They are not worried because they think way too highly of themselves. I will keep you posted.
