From the very first consultation with Sam, until my receiving a final settlement award, I felt confident that I’d come to the right place. After two wins in State Supreme Court on my rent overcharge case all that remained was to determine if fraud was evident and a court determination as to what my rent ought have been and what my now rent stabilized apartment rent should be. In the end I opted for a buyout and, I am happy to say, I am now looking forward to moving abroad to enjoy retirement elsewhere. Thanks to the entire team, Sam, Ron and David, I went from a situation in which the landlord threatened eviction and employed harassment and lack of services tactics, to my walking away with a chunk of change in my pocket and the satisfaction that my ex-landlord got the comeuppance he very much deserved. It was a long road (due to COVID slowing the justice system down), but it was worth the wait.
