Hills At Law, P.C. – Kalamazoo Office

I am writing this review to share my experience with Justin Workman at Hills at Law. I hired him earlier this year based on his background, paying a $5,000 fee. Unfortunately, the representation did not meet expectations. Communication felt minimal, and it seemed like very little effort went into my defense. He took the first deal offered by the state rather than working for a better resolution. I would not recommend his services based on this experience.

After telling you about their shark and how well they’ll fight for you, , they will take your $5000 retainer and do essentially nothing to defend you, even tell you that you’re guilty. Then, they Motion to Remove Themselves from the case right before trial, but try to KEEP all the $5000. It’s in dispute and will go to small claims if that doesn’t work. Better off sticking with the free public defender - same, sloppy end result of a worthless plea bargain. They refused to counter-offer the plea bargain as well!! Hired a new attorney and settled the case with my counter offer within a week of this firm being GONE. And good riddance to Hills at Law!!! and their Conflicts of Interest

After the unexpected death of my mother while we were out of state things just kept getting worse and i made some bad decisions. I was arrested and spent one night in jail. Long story short I needed an attorney which was something I’d never had to do before. They made it so easy and understandable and Justin Workman was assigned my case. He explained what was happening and what my outcomes could be. He was incredibly supportive and honest. Laid out the possibilities pros and cons with each It was incredibly important to have that kind of steady support when dealing with this for the first time. He was very forthcoming and made me feel like I was in control again. A huge thank you to Justin again and the entire team at Hills Law!
