Tried to get help from Joseph Bierwirth in handling a complex estate and trust matter. He was incredibly rude and said he could not work with me but refused to explain his reasons, despite having said there was no conflict of interest towards the start of our call. I was a bit emotional on the phone because I am dealing with an enormous amount of grief and trauma after the death of both parents and my brother in a 15 year period, leaving only my sister and I of my immediate family, and I've gotten 100x more empathy from a cinder block. Do not go to this person if you need any degree of basic human care or concern. If you're not going to be able to work with someone, it's unprofessional not to state your reason clearly and in a detailed manner. I suspect he just didn't see sufficient profit or is too chummy with the other involved party's estate lawyer, but again, he refused to tell me why, and when I asked him to elaborate hung up on me mid-sentence. I would not work with this law firm if you expect to be treated like an adult human being by other adult human beings. As should be obvious to everyone involved, estate proceedings often happen when one or more people have died, and Joe doesn't seem to have one speck of bedside manner for people who are dealing with the level of grief and trauma that goes along with these kinds of life transitions. Rude, uncaring, and unhelpful. No amount of professional training is a substitute for basic etiquette, EQ, and communication skills, and based on my experience, Joe lacks all three of these to an appalling extent.

Jason had me driving an hour and a half out knowingly so they could tell me an insulting thing that could have sent over an email days before.

Really not good, pretty horrible service and they just kept repeating that they were the oldest law firm in Boston.
