Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend using this particular attorney for family law, especially for complicated family law or custody cases.

It has been extremely difficult to get in contact with the office regarding questions and concerns about my case. I rarely, if ever, spoke directly with the attorney, and communication with the paralegal often took hours. When I did finally communicate with the attorney, I was charged a significant amount for email communication, which was essentially the furthest point of contact I had with her outside of the initial consultation.

When you are dealing with a complicated custody situation, timely communication and having your attorney actively involved are extremely important. Based on my experience, I did not feel that my case received the attention, communication, or advocacy I expected.

If you have money to spend, Ms. Perez may be a good fit for you. However, if you are someone who is already struggling financially and desperately needs help with a complicated custody situation, I strongly recommend saving your money and doing extensive research before hiring her.

Make sure you research who you are hiring, ask how communication works, find out who will actually be handling your case, and understand the fees before paying a retainer. In my experience, I paid significant amounts of money, did not feel adequately represented, and have continued to be asked for additional payments.

I personally wish I had done deeper research before hiring this attorney. Save your money for an attorney who is genuinely involved in your case, communicates with you, and makes you feel that they are advocating for what is in your best interest.

I cannot recommend Kerenssa and her team enough. Going through a divorce is one of the hardest things a person can experience and having the right people in your corner makes all the difference.
