Extremely slow in response. Hard to communicate. Couldn't get the work done. Wasted my time.

In 2014 April/May I contacted Mr. Chang from my company's legal benefit page to help me solving a simple tax issue. Just the often-seen IRS miscalculated stock proceedings.

Mr Chang said no worries he could solve it. So I trusted this issue to his hands. But in the following one year --

1. He is extremely irresponsive in communications and updating me progress. I have worked with other lawyers before and I could totally rely on email communications, and we would exchange files and opinions and progresses all on email. At the beginning Mr Chang replied me quickly which indicated he was using email, but then it would take one day, two days, one week, then forever to get a reply from him.

I often asked him "how is the progress of this?", "are documents sent?", and I wouldn't get a response.

Only when I leave a voice message to him, would I get a reply saying he's still working on it.

And later, I wouldn't even get a reply from voice message

2. Slow progress, couldn't even get work done: it took him a long time to prepare the document and send to IRS (which never sent to me to confirm). Then he told me he didn't get a reply from IRS. I asked him what he plan to do as there is no response from IRS, he gave me a vague plan but then I never got any new progress.

3. Wasted my time: there are tons other tax lawyers out there to help me solve this issue. If Mr Chang actively communicated he couldn't do it, I could have hired some else and have this solved quickly. Because of his slow progress and pretending that he's addressing this issue, it wasted my precious time and still kept this issue hanging.

Do not use this tax lawyer.
