I had a consultation with Lisa Reed. My case was regarding child support. The consultation was great, very informative and understanding. We agreed on a price of 6k and ensured me that it would last through arbitration. She mentioned that if it went beyond the arbitration to trial, it might be a little more money. That was no problem, as I didn’t believe it would go past the arbitration. 2 weeks before the arbitration she asked for another 5k to continue the case. That’s when I became very confused because the original agreement was through the arbitration and we haven’t even made it. Not to mention she was gone for a whole month before the hearing yet she said all the 6k had been billed. At this point I just wanted to resolve the case and asked her if she could split the 5k into 2 payments that were 2 week’s apart. Wouldn’t flex just a little, even after she blew through the 6k while on vacation. She withdrew as council and kept all the monies. Please run, don’t walk the other way. Everything is unicorns and rainbows until a few days before the party begins and she puts her heels on your throat. I will say that her office staff is very polite and thorough. They were also confused as to why she was adamant about another 5k. My only thought is that European trip went slightly over budget. My thoughts… hope this helps, it was just my experience!
