Confused, overwhelmed, angry and not knowing the "next steps" of the UD process was how I began my relationship with CCSLS. After the initial "intake" by Antonio, law clerk, he listened. He would have listened for as long as I want to tell my "story of woe". I left so relieved that I have to admit I did do a little "boohoo" once back in my car. Just from some of the weight being lifted I guess. I was grateful. Our next meeting was discovery and discussions of options for my particular situation. Antonio did a great job producing the appropriate documents and was a good communicator. Victoria, my attorney, did the explanation of all the documents created for me. Both made sure that what was on the paper matched what we had discussed. I was given all the originals and copies that I needed to file my "Answer" to the Courts which I did on Day 9. They deserve 5-star, BUT let me explain why you're 1-star short. At the close of our meeting and everything that had just transpired, I was caught off guard by Victoria making it very clear that they were "closing" my case. HEY, it's not closed for me and it was a buzz kill. This could have been explained with a different "tone" maybe. Attorneys aren't generally "warm and fuzzy" and I get that. The other .5 of a star is related to CCSLS's phone system. Let me tell you that once you get to a real person, you're going to get great service and a nice disposition, but getting back to that person should not entail going through that phone tree every single time. UGH!!! Antonio did go above and beyond in doing what he could to make it simpler. If you need a PT volunteer receptionist with background doing just that, give me a call. Would love to help out.
