My experience with Chris Abernathy was a bit of a rollercoaster, but ultimately, I was satisfied with the outcome. We didn't always see eye to eye during the divorce process, and there were certainly challenges along the way. However, Chris remained involved in my case and helped guide me through a difficult and stressful situation. In the end, I was able to reach a settlement without going to court, which was an outcome I was hoping to achieve. Chris also kept his word regarding assistance with fees and ultimately waived my final bill, which I greatly appreciated. While our working relationship had its ups and downs, I felt that as the case came to a close, Chris was genuinely committed to helping me move forward and bring the matter to a resolution. Divorce is never easy, but I am thankful the process was completed and that we were able to reach a settlement. Fantastic attorney. I was going through a messy child custody dispute where my ex was trying to minimize time with my kiddos. My ex was trying to make me only have them every other weekend and fought tooth and nail against anything more than that. I was planning to go it alone. Boy, am I glad I didn't! Mr. Abernathy stood up for me, he fought HARD for me, and he didn't give up until I got 50/50. He's a fighter, he's knowledgeable, and he's a strong attorney. I do not regret hiring him at all. He is expensive, but you absolutely get what you pay for. The hardest thing is bedside manner. He's not gentle, he's not nice, he'll call you out straight to your face. But... he isn't gonna sugar-coat stuff. He'll firmly and bluntly tell you how it is, because it's what will help you make an informed decision about your case. He's also an excellent communicator - available by text or email. That was super helpful to assuage concerns I had about the case at odd hours. And he gets results. I have no regrets and all the recommendations for him. Hire him!

I agree with the one-star reviews. My experience was that this attorney was manipulative in communication, dismissive of client concerns, and used his superior legal knowledge to pressure rather than inform. I did not feel respected or properly advised, and the consequences were severe. Stay away from this firm.
