I recently completed a real estate transaction with Cornerstone Title (part of CPM Law), and was thoroughly impressed with the level of service and attention we received. Even when our escrow officer was out of the office, someone else stepped in with timely and detailed responses to our needs. We look forward to working with Cornerstone again!

Alan Veech is the attorney over our Trust Fund. I’ve known him for about 20 years. Now he’s attempting to represent one wing of the family over another wing of the family. This is a conflict of interest he must recuse himself. This is beneath Alan and this law firm and all attorneys should already know that. A member of the Trust Fund said in a meeting they have the bill in the mail before the consultation. The last time I asked Alan anything he pretended not to know what I was talking about.

I live out-of-state and needed to hire an attorney who specializes in Estate Planning in Columbus, OH. I found Ms. Jane Higgins Marx's name (Carlile Patchen & Murphy) in an attorney registry and scheduled a phone consultation.
During the consultation, she agreed to take my case and requested I send her several documents, including the entire copy of a trust. After she received my documents, I emailed her asking her rates, to which she responded. She also asked my permission to phone the attorney of the defendant in this case.
After several weeks of no communication, I emailed her asking for an update and did not get a response. I waited another week, and decided to leave a voicemail with the same request for an update. Again, no response.
At the point, I wrote her a letter stating my frustration and disappointment in the total lack of communication. In order to be fair to her, I gave her several weeks to respond to my letter before I left this review. After not receiving a response to my letter, I decided to submit this review.
I feel I was essentially "ghosted." At the bare minimum, I should have been contacted, even if it was to tell me she was too busy, or that she decided not to take my case. My case is time-sensitive, and I basically wasted four weeks that I could have been working with another attorney. In addition, because she never communicated back about whether she called the defendant's attorney or not, my case could be negatively impacted. If she did, in fact, speak with the attorney, that attorney has now been informed that I've hired an attorney, and they now have weeks to prepare, which now puts my case at a disadvantage.
At the very least, her failure to communicate with me demonstrates a lack of integrity and pride in her work and all together unprofessional as an attorney.
