This is long-winded ….. sorry….but I like to be thorough.
One must consider the cost of time, and your wellness being affected by stress in handling insurance claims alone…..
Initially, I couldn’t find an attorney interested in helping me with an auto accident claim. If you were not broke in two, the value may not find a lawfirm’s best interest in your claim.
This was a first for me.
I chose to handle it between the insurer and myself.
How hard could it be? The insurer is in place to protect me right? well, I been handling it for a year now! Big mistake!
The insurer, especially when not your own, seems to take excessive time in handling matters…… you become desperate to settle for less! A claimant without representation is not the bigger priority. Your claim will be delayed because you do not have a professional keeping the insurer active on your claim! You appear to have your hands out, asking for money. Even being not “at-fault”, you will low-balled, and not be treated as the victim.
I reached out to Shane late in the game. I just had some questions, and felt I needed some kinda degree to understand the language of a insurer’s contract. Needless to say, I have trust issues….lol!
Although my needs were small, I wasn’t treated as such. He was quick to respond, and even e-mailed me a response over the weekend! Shane’s actions revealed he cares about the well-being of the consumer, regardless of the size of the task or dollar value. He put the consumer before the $. Very rare!!!
Should there be any accidents in the future, I will be calling Shane !
